Capacities
The trip object type is very useful if you want to plan, document, and reflect on any travels you’re taking. By creating a structure for a trip, you can easily organize all the important details and memories in one place.
To create a structure for a trip, it will have the following properties:
- Name: The name of the trip (e.g., “Barcelona Spring Break”, “Work Retreat in Kyoto”).
- Description: An optional short summary of the trip’s purpose
- Tags: Add relevant tags like “Leisure”, “Work”, “Solo Travel
- Status (single select tag property): Track the current phase of your trip using tags like “Planned”, “Booked”, “Ongoing”, or “Completed”.
- Dates (date property): The date range of the trip.
- Places (text property): Write a list of cities, countries, or specific locations you’ll visit, or link to existing objects you have for these places.
- People (text property): Write a list of travel companions or even people you’re meeting along the way.
- Cover Image (image property): A visual highlight for your trip
- Notes (blocks property): Space to capture itinerary details, packing lists, budgets, reservations, or reflections. See how to set up a travel template here.
You can adjust these properties at any point to really make this trip object type your own.
You can remove properties if you think they’re unnecessary or add new ones. Learn more about this here.
